There are several reasons why a woman might be called back to see more images after a mammogram. Very rarely, the images are of poor quality or have a device in them. This does not happen often, because mammography can check your images before they can leave the patient. Sometimes mammography will miss something that the radiologist catches.

In most cases there are further a field to evaluate the image. This could be because the patient has dense breast tissue. Dense tissue appears white on the x-ray film .... and not all the signs of breast cancer (both masses / lumps or calcifications). You can not see white pathology through dense white silk. It's like watching a volleyball in the snow-white image. Occasionally, compression views are needed in these cases, just to make sure that nothing is "hiding" behind the white tissue.

Other times, the radiologist sees a mass or calcification. Exhibitions and various types of calcifications are benign. There are special views we can take (magnification), with the exactbest areas. In the case of microcalcifications, these images show the edges of the calcification in detail, the radiologist can determine what kind they are. In most cases, the radiologist determined .... Are benign, not cancer. Even after these special views of May, a radiologist, a breast ultrasound request, and perhaps even a biopsy. Even if your case goes so far as a biopsy, about 85% of them are benign.

Sets is worse, you may eventually diagnosed with breast cancer. But if one thinks about it logically, life does not end. This means that you will receive a diagnosis .... This could start before they feel pushed a tumor. This is, remember that mammography screening do routine! Mammography is designed to find early breast cancer can be felt. The survival rate in these cases is 96%!

Therefore, it is a bad sign for more images are retrieved. It is likely occur in about 1 in 10 women after screening mammography. Best wishes .......

No, probably just need a better vantage point. Mammograms are "questionable" at best. However, if you have a problem, it is time to know now, decides to fight for, and start therapy.

Anyway - GOOD LUCK!
