Has anyone information on new treatments for glaucoma?

The latest advance in the treatment of glaucoma is selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT).

Trabecular mesh
The trabecular meshwork is an area of tissue around the base of the cornea, near the ciliary body, and is responsible for the drainage of aqueous humor from the eye through the anterior chamber of the chamber (before the "eye) are covered by the cornea. The spongy tissue is Surrounded by trabeculocytes so that fluids flow into a series of tubes known as Schlemm's canal, which empties into the bloodstream.

SLT lowers intraocular pressure by short pulses of laser light from low energy to specific cells, the melanin in the trabecular meshwork, which stimulates increased output of fluid containing target. SLT preserves the therapeutic benefits of laser treatment standard in reducing the intraocular pressure without thermal damage to the fragile structure of the trabecular meshwork.

I will elaborate on the above:
SLT selectively targets pigmented cells, the increased fluid outflow
SLT lowers intraocular pressure without destroying healthy cells or scar
SLT can be used to effectively in some patients) are not treated decline in ALT (argon laser trabeculoplasty
SLT may be repeated if the IOP again
SLT may consider re-using patients with previous ALT (trabeculoplasty, argon laser) treatment, has disappeared.
SLT works by suppressing the pigmented tissues of the eye drainage, so that a normal appearance of the trabecular meshwork.
